I don’t mind giving my money to the church if it is put to good - TopicsExpress

I don’t mind giving my money to the church if it is put to good use. I don’t mind supporting fellow church members in their personal pursuits of their careers, showbiz or otherwise; but come clean. Don’t package it and market it to us and tell us that it is a church project and hence the congregation must support. I don’t mind paying the fee to attend a credible bible study program; but if the course fee and the duration of program commensurate with the certification as a Diploma of Theology, then I expect the program content to up to standard and I expect the program lecturers to be well-qualified. Don’t package it and market it to us and tell us how great the diploma course is, and how fortunate are those who can enroll in the course and how anointed are those who have complete the course, and how the diploma course is such an envy for other churches. How rigorous can the syllabus content be and how recognized can the Diploma of Theology be when lecturers’ theological qualifications are from diploma mills, or when one of the lecturers is found to have committed plagiarism! We were told how great and meaningful our church projects are and how our City Harvest School of Theology (CHSOT) is an envy for other churches. Someone here wrote about getting our tithes back. Can we also get back the fees we paid for the Diploma of Theology? I am starting to doubt the program content covers sufficient theological knowledge. I am starting to doubt if the Diploma of Theology from City Harvest School of Theology (CHSOT) is recognized by other churches or bible colleges. I even took no-pay leave for half a year to attend the program. I don’t know if I should feel cheated. I have heard that the theological qualifications of Pastor Kong and Pastor Phil Pringle are bogus. Their masters and doctorate are from diploma mill. And they even know personally the owner of this diploma mill. I really hope what I heard is not true. People are already saying our Crossover Project is a scam. Is our City Harvest School of Theology (CHSOT) also a scam?
