I don’t want to hear a damn word about ‘OH NO….NOT ANOTHER TAKE OFF VIDEO….GOD SAVE ME…..”…….the difference here, is its ‘’MY’’ TAKE OFF VIDEO……Yep, I’m full of myself………its 5 minutes of your life that I promise will be lit up, just like the sea of runway lights you witness in this video….I was sitting in a 737-800/900….only half full, had several rows to myself…….also first before we take off, while taxing…when we make the turn to Runway 28C…….you see the white ‘centerline’ bright as hell, just before he turns…’squares’ to take off……the sound of the engine is Smooth as silk….I show the inside with the blue lights at the front and back of fuselage ….first time I saw that……the Geek in me considered that….a lovely moment in Geek time….lol……the take off was ‘SWEET’ as pie, ….you hear me say bye bye Chicago…..and to all my friends who live and haunt there…..;)…..at flightlevel 380…..the pilot came on…..saying that there was a possibility for significant turbulence ahead and ordered everyone to sit and buckle…everyone……there were a few major bumps……he lowered to flightlevel 350….and it did improve…..phew …..it was time for my second white wine…..it was a 2 ½ hour flight to MSY(New Orleans)……and sitting in the back with no one around, I had time to think about my long weekend in Canada…..and how blessed I am……I never want to take for granted my place…..in this world……my family……friends…all of you on f/b……my Aviation blog…..and how much I love you all…….and love the sky……my wine glass in my hand I toasted the plane…….lol…….Yep……..I did…..and not afraid to say so……what a wonderful Aviation family we are….!!! The hum of the engines….as I looked out the window…..as the lights below……passed by….so many….troubles and problems….so many people in pain,……Countries…..being blasted apart….people being slaughtered….and for what……..when looking down…..there are no borders…..nothing obvious enough to lead even a deaf dumb and blind man……..to think……I should kill you, because you don’t look like me…….and I want what you have……..!!!!!!!....just the beautiful ‘MOTHER SHIP’ EARTH…….she didn’t bargain for this……she didn’t agree to have her face shot off……with WAR………!!!!!!!.........Still, she spins us around……and her gift of “Light” each morning…..and ‘sunset’ at night…..she is our Best Friend……Unconditional friend…..who asks nothing of us……yet, we…take…..I thought to myself…..as we landed in New Orleans….we should all Kiss the ground we walk on……Mother Earth…….Thank you darling…..for the ‘Ride’…….♥
