I doubt there is another page on Facebook worldwide, that generates as much interest and sheer enjoyment than the I Went To School In Mervue page. People often say What is it about Mervue? and I think the answer to that is Everything! We have had so much fun with all of these forums over the years, the memories are just fantastic, the bond of friendships are second to none, the stories are so real and touch the hearts of everyone. At times we have, sadly, to announce our sympathy for someone in the community who has passed away and the flow of comments show how close a community Mervue really is. But through these pages we have also brought back to life many characters who departed our lives decades ago by reviving them and their character in the wonderful tales from the past. Its nice to see sons and daughters and even grandchildren announcing their family connections to the people from Mervue that we recall in some of our comments. Whether you are a resident of Mervue at the moment, long gone, even in another country now, or your parents or grandparents lived there, it matters little, as long as we contribute to this record breaking Facebook page. You dont have to have gone to school in Mervue or to be from the auld stock to be part of this page – just keep this page alive forever.
