I downloaded this song (the studio version, not this live version...couldnt find the studio version on YouTube) a couple of years ago to my iphone. Chris Tomlin, My Soul Magnifies the Lord The live version is good, but it loses a little in comparison to the studio version (thats actually kind of rare, in my opinion, since I usually think the live version is always better than the studio version). He has a full church choir on the studio version which is awesome. I heard it on a gospel channel we have on cable on Christmas morning 2012 (they have a fireplace you can put on your screen and listen to contemporary christian music...we do it while we open presents). Heard it, loved it immediately. Its an amazing song. Its really beautiful. Im listening to it right now and I thought, what the hell, Ill post about it. I downloaded several of his songs since then. Hes a very good songwriter. I know next to NOTHING about contemporary christian music (for all I know, theres some HUGE controversy Im not aware of, like, Chris admitted he smoked pot in high school, or some other BS :).
