I dreamed of a childhood friend last night, and her kids, it was a good dream albeit strange. I got up and made pancakes with homemade blueberry compote with freshly made whipped cream, bacon, sausage and eggs. Then I poured myself a cup of regular, boring Maxwell House coffee and it was delightful. Sometimes simple is good. I poured the kids some orange juice. And then watched Colin eat. He took his diaper off at the table. He mixed whip cream into his orange juice. He threw his bacon on the floor (to the delight of our cat). He ended up with blueberry sauce where blueberry sauce should never go. I sat on the counter with my coffee and smiled. My husband gets to clean it up today lol in other news Cameron woke up sick. Im not surprised. Yesterday at drop off at school she was showing me the new class pet when this adorable little blond girl squeezed in between the throng of children gathered to watch the new blue crayfish and she sneezed quite adorably all over everyone and then wiped her adorable nose with the back of her hand and touched the fish tank and at least 4 kids (mine included). Then for good measure this adorable child sneezed 4 more times. If I was wearing pearls I would have been clutching them. I could feel my future sore throat already. Now here we are 24 hours later on a Saturday and my 6 year old is in bed, sniffing adorably and mad at the world. Sigh....tomorrow it will be Brandon or Colin.
