I dreamt I went to Disneyland, but it was much more like a giant - TopicsExpress

I dreamt I went to Disneyland, but it was much more like a giant warehouse that didn’t have any rides. It was kind of like a small community of some kind? Like, I don’t know, a village? There was a train station inside. It was kind of a fun place, but also it was kind of dull. A good example of how it was both things at once was the fact that there was a “Star Trek: The Next Generation” themed bank where Patrick Stewart was the teller, but he was dressed like Captain Picard. So, bank = dull; Star Trek = fun. I talked to him for a minute under the pretense that I was thinking about opening an account, but really I just wanted to talk to him because he was Patrick Stewart. Sometimes he was in a suit that looked somehow out-of-place on him, but mostly he was in his Starfleet uniform. Soon I realized he was really busy, so I felt bad about taking his time, and I left. I went to some giant office building (that was maybe a little sinister for some reason), but before I knew what was going on I was back at the TNG bank. This time I was serious about opening an account. I told him, “I’ve been thinking about what you said, and I’ve decided this is the bank for me.” He seemed delighted, and I was confused about if he were just there as an attraction of some kind or if he, like, actually made his living by being a banker. I had all my necessary IDs—or so I thought! Turns out I had a mini version of my SS card, and it had a weird abbreviated version of my name instead of my full name. The lady who was helping him seemed to think it was going to be a problem, but Mr. Stewart didn’t, and before I could say anything he started taping the SS card down on an application with some packing tape. In real life I’m quite deft with such things, and I was trying to do it at the same time he was to it would look neat. It was awkward.
