I drew this fast rendering of a beautiful dream and first morning surprise Keiko had Thanksgiving morning. Skye is in the reflection looking back at Keiko. It is not done, this is a quick study for a water color I am gifting beautiful mamma Keiko. This was what she wrote on her page...... Awakened, early and easily, by a dreaming image of a fluffy, soft feathered, rusty, red tailed, white hawk landing gracefully on my father’s shoulder…. full of beautiful strength and stature… leading me, with sleepy eyes, to only walk to my window to see the hazy bright orange against the clouds rising above the crystal-ling, breaking waves… minutes later as the sun’s rays poignantly break through the clouds, I see only for a few seconds, the shifting, blowing clouds forming an image, as a child’s drawing, so likened to Skye’s smile and big deep, dark eyes, that of a snowy owl, smiling directly at me with wings whisping through the sky … and, as to assure me, rising through clouds, the sun unveiling its strength, blinding my eyes with its full light and glazing me with warmth Keiko Ratcliffe
