I dropped my art major completely. I failed a class. I couldnt get through the bones and muscles portion of Figure and Anatomy Structure. Its 33 years later. This will be a turning point in my life. I am now enrolled in this class for the second time. Skeletons and live undraped models present severe psychological issues for me. The staff at UVU in the Illustration department are extremely supportive. Ive asked them not to change any of the class settings or requirements to accommodate me. Im going to finally face this, conquer flashbacks and PTSD from childhood traumas, and fulfill my life long dream of completing my BFA in Illustration. My ultimate goal is to paint the human figure authentically, artistically, and communicate through visual art, the most precious and sacred experiences of my life.
