I drove 4 hours out of Melbourne on the weekend to Hamilton. Great drive. I stayed in Ballarat overnight in a unique hotel Craigs Royal Hotel (see link) and stayed in a room once occupied by Dame Nellie Melba. Not my usual taste but its so truthfully renovated I just had to give it a go and I absolutely LOVED it! The bed was OTT and made me laugh but I slept like a King? Lol.
