I drove my Volt as usual, to my other ranch Sleepy Hollow and made - TopicsExpress

I drove my Volt as usual, to my other ranch Sleepy Hollow and made the 43 mile drive here and will go back the 43 miles tomorrow (86 miles in all) for about $1.40 in electricity. My electric rates are a little higher than the national average and other Volt owners are driving cheaper than I am. In 1970 when I was a senior in high school, I had a brand new Camaro (I ordered that one from the factory after working the four previous summers mowing yards and delivering news papers after school and working at a gas station.) Back in 1970, gasoline was 37 cents per gallon. Later it skyrocketed to 50 cents per gallon and I thought my life was over as I knew it. I had to raise my rates for mowing yards to pay for gas. When I was 18 (if my math and memory are correct) about $2 in 1970 gas prices at 37 cents per gallon would get me down the road 100 miles in my spiffy 1970 Camaro. Now that I am a senior-citizen (and not a lead-footed senior in high school) my Volt enables me to get down the road about 100 miles for about $2 in electricity and I am hollerin at the top of my lungs out here, and nobody is listening that Im driving again like gas is 37 cents per gallon. What part of deja vu all over again do these Texans in my neck of the woods not understand. And where is Yogi Berra when I need him most (the guy who coined this phrase Deja Vu All Over Again) and why wont Mary Barra fire GMs marketing and advertising executive? And what part of ISIS gets $2 million per day in the sales of black market crude do people not get? What part of BP Tony Haywards lie the oil spill is relatively tiny and I want my life back and his no concern for the 11 people whos families want their loved ones back? I drive a Volt because it lets me stick it to OPEC one electron at a time (a phrase I coined) and Im running my Volt on a purely American fuel (made from thousands and thousands of wind turbines that surround the area where I live.
