I dug up this video of @tommycaldwell and @kjorgenson working on the hardest big-wall free climb in the world shot for @camp4collective @natgeo a fews years back. After six years of attempts and preparation they are currently now spending weeks living on the side of Yosemite’s El Captan to complete it in a single bottom to top ascent of the 3,000 ft face. You might have seen the New York Times front page story, NPR interviews and other press. They have truly captured the attention of the world las they slowly make progress up the wall! This is a ‘free’ climb not in the sense that there are no ropes, but rather you are only using your hands and feet to climb the rock. In this case these hand/foot hold are minuscule requiring them to climb at night and in the cold winter temps for optimum friction and less slippery sweat. In this video @kjorgenson is working on the hardest section which they have both now made it through on this attempt. In the climbing world dominated by Everest media, its great that people take notice of the difficulty and passion going into this ascent. Give the boys a follow and comment on their feeds as they continue to put everything into this climb! #DawnWall #TheMonkeysAlwaysSend #OOOOOhhhh
