I echo Gills thanks to everyone who supported us in lots of ways, especially Sally who was our Mother Hen for the night and looked after us very well. We really couldnt have done it without having that little haven of rest in between stints of walking. Really proud of all that Gill has done to raise this money without going to anybody for a big cheque - it was all done by hard work and generous people giving what they could afford, or earning it with all sorts of voluntary work. The whole raffle idea was started by Jeff Wilson from Vancouver who generously donated his painting to us after doing a demonstration for our art club (Wild About Art). So thanks again to Jeff and the other artists and to all the brilliant team who made it such fun on Saturday night. Hope Marlene Williamsons back is OK, hope Gillians blisters and other sundry injuries soon heal, and hope we all are fit enough to do it again in 2 years!
