I embraced the doctrine of Universal Invisible Church when I was still member of Fundamental Baptist Church in Iligan City. When I returned home to Surigao City, I attended Missionary Baptist at Roxas Street, Surigao City, Philippines. Pastor S. Agot & Pastor S. Travilla explained the local visible Church only position to me last and refuted the Universal Invisible Church (mystical body). This teaching has nothing to do with eternal salvation of our souls. When we get saved, we are added to the family of God (not to the Church of God). When we submit to scriptural baptism, we are added to NT Church. Those who believe in baptismal régénération have used Gal.3:27 to support their false doctrine. As I said before, if we interpret the text, we interpret the text in the light of the context. Those who submit to baptism are already children of God by faith (Gal.3:26), Another verse Is Acts 2:38. They put emphasis on for the rémission of sins. According to their doctrine, without water baptism, they do not get saved (baptismal régénération). The Greek Word for for Is eis. This verse should better translated because of the rémission of sins. What sins could be cleansed with water if all our sins were cleansed with the Blood of Jesus Christ? Those who believe in baptismal régénération disregard the Blood of the covenant. Heb10:28,29. Man can be saved without or before water baptism.
