I encountered my first lunch bandit while working my first office job in 1994. This was to be the nicest of the lunch bandits, as they at least left a $1 bill, in my bag in the fridge. There has been a lunch bandit at every place Ive been employed at since. It still makes me just as angry. I have NEVER caught one. If I ever do, the public shaming they will receive will be brutal. I will tell your advisor or boss. I will tell your co-workers/fellow students. I will tell THE INTERNET. I will post your picture, with LUNCH BANDIT written across it, on every refrigerator in the building. Of course, this is a fantasy. The Lunch Bandit is a criminal mastermind scofflaw who revels in the attention they receive through posted notes and hangry emails to all.
