I envy people who can say things short and to the point and nobody wonders what they meant afterwards. But theres things bursting out of me sometimes that I know dont make sense the first time out. So here goes: I had a dream last night of Mom and Dad. It took my dreaming breath away and when I woke it made me sad. So many questions I was afraid or forgot to ask just wanting to know not taking to task. Mom smiled that long forgotten smile and Dad had his mysterious grin. They didnt stare at me the way I stared at them. My mother was thin and stately with long flaming red curls, my dad was jet black with strength to bend the world. Then finally, just at dreamings twilight where most folks have been I finally remembered all those questions, and as I turned I could see my dreamings end. All I could think of, so silly, Ive said it before was Mom and Dad I love you and I hope theres more in store. As I fell away through twilight for a moment it felt so real. I woke reaching for my telephone suddenly I realized that old days are sealed. But love keeps growing onward while old hates wander round and round. I chose to remember fishing trips and bury scars deep in the ground.
