I eventually headed off to sleep last night, unable to do anything about the server issues myself. This morning, I got the following email about the issue: "This was because of a maintenance done by Equinix. As part of their maintenance notice, our services were not to be affected, because we were having redundant metro connects. Unfortunately the Equinix maintenance had more impact than what they had orginally notified us. Our management team was notified about the issue as soon as it happened and they resolved this with Equinix technicians. " So there you have it--they officially say that problem is solved. =)
