I expected my reception to be low key...I am a whatever works kind of girl who is pretty easy to please. My Partner at Stonehaven Special Events is the VERY TALENTED Sharon Wasden. Anna Wasden is her daughter. Sharon knows my style and I gave her permission to decorate however she wanted (I told her only that I wanted black seated chiavari chairs, black tablecloths with the gold embroiderd overlay on top. She made me promise that I was not allowed to come to Stonehaven Special Events until 530 pm on my reception day. When I walked into the doors my heart skipped a beat! I was shocked beyond belief!!! It was more beautiful than I could ever imagine or put together on my own!! My favorite FRESH flowers, birds of paradise (which Sharon had flown in from Hawaii and other places!) and gerber daisies surrounded the room. I believe that Pinketta Floral helped with the flowers as well. The cake was exactly what I would have chosen. It was beautifully designed by Sharon and made by (forgive me because I dont even know her last name) Molly! The food was fabulous thanks to Connie Whittaker Weaver . It was a glorious array of desserts, fruit, and so much more! Amy Gifford, Becky Giffords daughter was playing elegant and romantic music on the baby grand piano. It was like I had walked into a heavenly dream - it was perfection and a huge act of love all rolled up in one. There is so much more to this wonderful story, but GET THIS: ALL OF IT WAS PLANNED, DESIGNED, SET UP AND READY TO GO IN LESS THAN 4 DAYS!!!!! Not by my doing whatsoever! It looked as though it had been a 4 month work in progress....NOPE! LESS THAN 4 DAYS! I have no words that can even begin to express my gratitude to Sharon, Becky Gifford, Connie Whittaker Weaver for making this all happen in a matter of days! Now is that Love, or What? To top it all off I called Sara at Pixel Ink Photography 2 days before the reception and she so gladly cleared her schedule to be the one shooting the photos. I feel blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful women! So, heres a small sneak peek of the pre-party event!
