I fail to understand why citizens are concerned about when are where law enforcement officers conduct traffic safety checkpoints. To answer the question of why, the quickest and best answer is simple. The checkpoints are part of the departments job description. Just like you, law enforcement officers have a job to perform. Its fairly simple. Have your required insurance and vehicle registration, dont drink and drive or be in possession of narcotics, wear your seatbelt, and youll drive right through without any problems.
