I fear that our 24/7 news cycle has the nation in an Ebola Hysteria. Not to make light of this deadly virus, but we are in greater danger of being stricken down by any number of other means. So lets get a grip on what needs to be done to fight this virus. We need to attack this problem at the point of origin, which in this case is West Africa. Hopefully we dont try to put out a fire in our kitchen by hosing down the front porch. On the home front we need to make sure that all health care personnel are well trained in all the correct protocols in dealing with this virus. Lastly, we need to insist that congress stop cutting funding for the Center for Disease Control and the National Institute of Health. I know its hard, given that the news is 24/7 Ebola, but this is a problem that can and will be solved with corrective actions and not panic.
