I feel I Need to clear this up.. so a couple things.... What I do on here selling stuff and donating to Christmas babies 2014 in honor of Brettyn I do because I want to. Ive chose to do it this way because last year someone tried saying they were going to do the same thing I was doing which is absolutely fine, the more the merrier but then it was brought to my attention that this person was keeping donated items for themselves as well as selling it to make money and not donating after all. Me I do what I say. I dont rip anyone off. Those I sell for know their albums and see what I sell for them and how much it was sold for. I make a point to have them look at the items in the albums of things of theres which has been sold or is pending so they know Im not ripping them off. I know these people would stand up for me and vouche for me on this if I need them too. Some points I need to make... 1. half of what I make goes to the IMCN(INCU) I put it away and give it to my mom who is the most honest person EVER to hang on to so I know its safe and come Dec 2014 it will all be there when I go to donate it. 2. I always post that what I make off of my fb page 50% of it goes towards the unit. I make this clear as often as I can. Every few days. 3. im in touch with the nurse from the IMCN (INCU) at Womens Hospital so they know what Im doing and are in the loop. cause Im doing more then just donating money. I have been reaching out to photographers to help take free photo sessions just before Christmas so that the parents can get pictures done with their babies. I know if it wasnt for a wonderful lady who did a free session for me when Brettyn was in the hospital I wouldnt have had many pictures of us together. I was told by the nurse (Tracey) that I dont have to do this and No I dont have to do this. I want to, there is a difference. Im giving back the best way I know how and its all in honor of my son. 4. Please keep in mind I dont just sell my stuff Im selling for other people too, so I only get 40%- 50% of what I sell for others. So 50% goes to the person(s) I sell for and 50% goes to me, and 50% of what i make goes towards the unit. Whether its .50 cents or 15.00 dollars I always put half away. 5. I do this (the donations) because I WANT to, out of the kindness of my heart. I do this to give back to the unit for all they did for brettyn when he was born at 31 weeks. I do this because its the one way I can give back. I dont get anything out of it, I dont get to claim in on my income tax like you can when you donate to certain charities. 6.This is money that comes from MY pocket. Money I could be keeping but instead I chose not too. I am not under contract nor am I obligated to do this. Like I said I do it cause I want to. 7. Last year (2013) I did it a bit different I bought gifts for the babies in the unit. This year im trying something new. 8. No one has given me money for the INCM (INCU) and if anyone were to donate money to Christmas Babies 2014 in honor of Brettyn all of what was donated would be put away and 100% of it would go to the unit. So please know I do this because I want to not because I have too. 9. In the event that Ive created - Christmas Babies 2014 in honor of Brettyn it states plain as day - I am NOT.asking for money but if you decide to donate money to the unit Id like it to be in money order form with The hospitals information on it NOT mine. That way you know thats where your money is going .. whether youre donating 2.00 or 100.00 10. What I do ask for if youre wanting to donate is UNOPENED in the package small toys that the babies can receive as gifts for Christmas and take home with them when they leave the hospital.
