I feel compelled to share this: I began the day with a super bridge walk with my pal Chevara Orrin. I got home and found a truly inspirational message here on Facebook from Hope McMath which just set the tone for the whole day. Then, I had an amazing meeting in the Mayors office with Karen Bowling, Rena Coughlin and Roshanda Jackson. That was followed by a really sweet lunch with Audrey Moran (who let me do so much talking!), and then I high-tailed it over to the Museum of Science & History, Jacksonville (where, among other things, I serve in an interim capacity as the director of development...for those who were wondering) and had a super-deluxe meeting with the director and my dear friend Maria Haynes Hane. Maria sets the standard as an elegant and thoughtful leader. Next, it was off to ArtWalk which started off with a really lovely gathering at the home of Suzanne Hudson-Smith, the director of our Library Foundation. And now I am home again, home again jiggedy-jig and theres this really smart message from Susan Pelter waiting for me. My point? Women in Jacksonville make it happen. No doubt. The whole city is so fortunate because of you. (PS -- I am so ready for some men to step up to the plate. Just sayin...)
