I feel horrible for the family who lost their dog - but it brings to light some very interesting things: any breed of dog can attack other dogs (or people); assuming dogs are safe (or unsafe) based on their breeds is a dangerous assumption - so what are we to do now? Ban goldens to keep this from happening again? Ban Yorkies because theyre easy prey? Probably not.
