I feel it in my body. I feel it circling, at times weeping, other times screaming, around the beginning and ending of my wandering thoughts. The pain and trauma of the injustice and devastation this Summer has experienced. The pain and trauma of the Santa Barbara racist and misogynistic murders and the enormity of male rage against feminist human rights expressions/protests that violence against women must end and that male entitlement to womens bodies, labor, time, and lives must end, because #YesAllWomen. The pain and trauma of the siege, bombing, and invasion of Gaza by Israel and the killing and wounding of thousands of Palestinians, along with the rage of racist imperialists, colonialists, and zionists to the global justice human rights expressions/protests that Palestinian people have a right to exist, a right to exists without violence and occupation and a right to self-determination. #FreePalestine. The pain and trauma of Black people murdered all across the country and the racist militarized war against the people of #Ferguson and all who joined them in rising up. Along with white rage to anti-racist/racial justice human rights expressions/protests that #BlackLivesMatter and that racist policing, and racist white violence must end. I am surrendering to the grief, and opening my heart and soul to the beauty, inspiration, courage, and visionary resistance that has also so profoundly and powerfully shaped the Summer we have experienced and our world going forward. Let us mourn, and organize. Let us recognize and value one another and ourselves. Let us heal and resist with rage for injustice and love for the people and the planet. Let us be tender and powerful as we create and being our liberatory values into our lives and the world. Let us be the ones we have been waiting for, together. Friends and comrades, I love you and I am grateful for you.
