I feel like I’ve been withholding a rant for a long time, and I - TopicsExpress

I feel like I’ve been withholding a rant for a long time, and I think it’s time to unleash it. “Pro Wrestlers” are killing pro wrestling. It’s true. Look at all the stuff that has been transpiring on social media. Wrestlers that can’t handle fans negatively critiquing their work going on tirades for no apparent reason instead of working hard to improve their product is one example. Promotions, promoters, and wrestlers alienating their fan bases by using Amazon Wishlists and GoFundMe’s to raise money to purchase things when all they have to do is get a job and/or budget their money the right way. Just because a company has a Twitter and a Facebook DOESN’T MEAN the amount of friends and followers result in a growth of a fan base. Most of all, every company feels like it is the same and there is no true breakout promotion with its own unique stars and talent since EVERYONE uses the same talent EVERYWHERE. I’ve never drawn a dime in pro wrestling and most likely never will, but I’m fed up with what pro wrestling has turned into. Instead of a place where the mystique was protected, money was made, and men focused more on their characters than their in-ring work, wrestlers are now exposing the business in the worst way imaginable, guys are killing themselves for little to no money, and it’s about workrate, workrate, workrate. It’s time to change pro wrestling before the business and industry turn into the sports entertainment hobby. It’s getting close. For Christ’s sake, it’s getting scary. Maybe it’s time for me to change as well…
