I feel like the Choo Choo that KNOWS I can! Three stories: 1. After my daughter won her trophy from the Tropical Island Beauty Pageants, I found my son in the middle of the night staring at it. He asked me if there were pageants for boys. I told him yes but that I didnt think it would showcase who he is. Some of you know my son has a very slight disorder so some physical activity can be challenging for him. Hes not on any sports teams or in any classes right now that require him to be physical so trophies are not filling his bedroom shelves. I want my son to feel and be a winner SO look out folks... In collaboration with Hawaii Urban Training, we will be producing Toughest Tikes, a competition for kids with all levels of capabilities! Come mid-July, my son along with many other children will be taking home the prize! 2. About a week ago, we took our kids to a magic show in Kona. The show was raising money for a kids magic camp that was established there. My kids asked if they could join and of course I had to deliver the disappointing news that it was too far to travel to. Well with the wave of my mommy will make it happen for my kids wand, The Magic of Bruce Meyers, very well-established magician will be collaborating with Hawaii Museum of Contemporary Art to bring magic classes to our community of kids! My kids are thrilled! 3. My daughters Halau needed an idea for a fundraiser to help with the competition costs when they go to Keiki Hula in Honolulu. It still needs approval by the parents but how does a magic show in Hilo sound? Would you like to attend? It is tentative for May 16th for 3 shows at the East Hawaii Cultural Center. I will keep you in the know on all :)
