I feel much better about Youtubes non-shark week than Discoverys shark week, I have to say. Last year, the hunt for the megalodon just made me feel dirty and used. I knew something was wrong when the bad thing that happened in the opening sequence just so happened to happen on camera, but when the expert was so ridiculously handsome, I knew I was being screwed with. They had the disclaimer that yeah, they totally made this shit up was on subsequent rebroadcastings, but this year they have the making of megalodon and the hunt for the 30 foot shark. Though I found a book on shark attacks one summer camping up in Slave, and it utterly changed my life. In one of the attack files, it discussed a guy who was in a shipwreck with a friend, and a shark came up out of the depths and swallowed his friend whole. Which still freaks me out to this day. Even at 11 years old, I knew sun and sea water for days = delusions, but still. I read that 29 years ago and I can almost recall the witness statement verbatim.
