I feel really pleased with myself today. I really think that I did the right thing and helped out the nursing home on my day off. It was so worth it. One of the ladies at the nursing home wanted to remain in her room, all alone. As she was terrified that someone was going to give her a nasty look, or make fun of her because she is blind. So I thought to myself, Why should she miss out? She deserves to be apart of the festivities. So I spoke to her in her room, and I was able to convince her to join in on the fun, she had a couple of requirements that she wanted to join in, and they were, number one, that I was not to leave her side and tell her what she is eating and being essential her eyes, and the other requirement was that she didnt wish to have her photo taken. If this is what is was going to take for her to fully enjoy herself then so be it. I stayed by her side right through the Xmas lunch, and she had an excellent time. Apparently this lady is so afraid to join the others that she never ever comes out has a meal with the other residence, to say the lest everyone was stunned that she came, and everyone was so surprised that I was able to convince her to join in. But they were so happy that I was able to achieve this feet.
