I feel so blessed (as I always do and as I always am -- each day). Well, I just really want to express how happy I am that even if I might not have bought something really significant for myself this December, I was given all that I needed the entire year. First, I was able to finally clean up the mess that my dearly departed has left me. It was a very humbling experience because I was accused of keeping all the money for myself. Truth is, I only saved a small portion to cover the cost I paid for my travels and processing the legal documents. And what hurts more was that after I turned over the funds, they havent thanked me. But if there is any consolation, I am now free to live my life free from responsibilities. Second, I was able to enroll for my 2nd degree at CIT - University (which I have long dreamed to achieve). Hopefully, I will graduate next year. Third, my promotion (another dream come true). Fourth, my last year of being a Rotaractor was capped by the successful 4th year of collaboration with the Rotaract Club of National University of Singapore. These and a whole lot more (good health, good career, good friends... love life... etc.) are the best gifts I received. If there are lessons and experiences I learned, these are the following: That in your lowest moments, you will really know who your true friends are. Once you found them, keep them... love them; That dreams are indeed the touchstones of our characters. Therefore, dream big and work hard for it; That leadership is achieving results through others. And that one measure of being a good leader is when he knows how to manage volunteers; That you can always find true happiness in giving and inspiring others. So continue to be a blessing to others. That way you will be blessed some more. So, what should I wish have this coming new year? I dont know. Well, I have few things in my list like to travel abroad again? Hmmm... Sometimes, precious gifts come when least expected. So, heavens above, suprise me! Merry Christmas Everyone!
