I feel so blessed right now. Today I accomplished something at work, a promotion, that for years, Id thought was simply outside of my capabilities. And I feel very grateful to work for the company I work for. 17 years ago I started working at Target, unloading trucks & stocking shelves. I was a lost 21 year old kid, with no idea where I was going or what I was doing. But I knew that first day, when they threw me in the truck, that Id found a home. I knew that I wanted to lead that team, & Ive been blessed to do just that for so many years. Target has taught me how to be a leader, and my work experience has unquestionably led me to be a better man. Ill still be leading that team, but Ill be helping other leaders at other targets do the same, & Im very excited about that. Im so grateful to my team whove all done such an awesome job while I was out of the building preparing for this. Im so grateful to my boss for believing in me, & my peers for all their support. And Im so grateful to everyone at the district & group level who helped me achieve this. I dont have a degree, Target certainly didnt have to do this for me. But they did, & that says something really great about them. So thank you, to my friends, family, my wife & kids, everyone whos provided me with support, & encouragement. And I thank God, for all the blessings in my life. As the man said, What did I ever do, that was worthy of You, & the kindness Youve shown?
