I feel so compelled to post tonight in light of the ongoing fire - TopicsExpress

I feel so compelled to post tonight in light of the ongoing fire situation, and after a taking a few days to grieve and collect myself... I just want to say that I am so saddened, concerned, and stressed, about this fire and all that has taken already... I lay here sleepless knowing that so many, my immediate family included, may be having the same sleeplessness worrying and just waiting to hear if their home still stands. As some of you might know, my family and I lost our home in a fire on Friday evening...one of the most devastating times in my life....I sincerely pray that no one else has to go through this tragic experience... 😔 and I hope those that may have lost homes tonight, feel the LOVE and SUPPORT that our beautiful community has given my family and I...I am truly blessed. I am so grateful for the family and friends that have come to our aide so far, that night and after, in many meaningful ways; Desiree & Clinton Petros, Dana Moody , Marianna &Mike Burrett, Tricia Louise & Kent Tracy, Teri Dean, Travis Dean & Nichole Smith, Nicole Flemming, Adrianne & Kyle Davis, Sandy Konipacki McNalley, Courtney Stauffer, and my amazing neighbors...and of course all those that have offered their help...but so importantly, the heroic firefighters that fought so hard to save my house...all night and into the early morning. I can never truly express how grateful I am to them all for risking their lives in effort to save our home. Even though they were unable to save it, they showed my family and I such love and compassion. Some going above and beyond to comfort me. It meant so much... Right now, I lay in the comfort and safety of my friends home (Matt & Kathy Casey) after being evacuated from the hotel we were placed in after the fire...I cant tell you the anxiety level when we, once again, had to grab what we could and get out. Knowing that I had a place to go that welcomed us and our three dogs was simply an amazing feeling. I am just hoping that the firefighters can contain the fire as quickly as possible so that you may all return to your homes, hopefully undamaged! I also encourage everyone to have a fire plan...what to take, where to go, etc. in a moments notice...I now speak from experience. For me, I know that someday I will discover the silver lining in my tragedy, because there always is one...but I can only hope and pray that no one else has to... THANK YOU SO MUCH to our whole community for always coming together to help someone in need! I am **truly grateful** for each and every one of you âĪïļ and yes, I DO feel the love and prayers...each and every one of them💋 ~ Darla Dean
