I feel so very proud to have one of my Lynyrd Skynyrd Photos (from Winterland 3-6-76) appearing on the cover of Ron Eckermans Book Turn it Up...My Years with Lynyrd Skynyrd. (I have 5 more shots inside as well) In 1976, Ron took on the challenge of managing Lynyrd Skynyrd, and witnessed and participated in their rise to fame and worldwide acclaim. After a sequence of events that resulted in a plane crash and the loss of four friends, Ron carried guilt with him his entire life for the tragic plane crash that put an end to the original Lynyrd Skynyrd. I had been in communication with Ron about a year and a half ago to have some of my pix appear in the 2nd edition of the book. Sadly Ron had Leukemia and passed away in May of 2014. His Wife Carolyn Day contacted me in July and asked if I was still wanting to have my pix in the new edition of the book. I was ecstatic..... The books arrived today and they look great. I cant wait to start reading it!
