I feel somewhat scared and hopeful I really do not know how to feel. Today I had an appointment with Jasons Audiologist to Upgrade his cochlear device. Jason was really exited because it has so many advantages and he is at the age where he knows what he wants and needs. He was able to choose his own model and color. Yep, My son is growing....so we discussed his chance of getting a bilateral cochlear,,, I had been asking for such a long time and I had almost lost hope that my son would be able to benefit from a bilateral cochlear. Today,,,, they put that option in our hands and I cant thank God enough. We set up the appointment with the surgeon and we will go from there. The only thing is the fear of surgery when they did the first implant Jason did amazingly well with recovery. Now, we will see a social worker and they will do a tour with Jason and give him a detail explanation of what will happen. We will see how it all falls into place. Once again I learn that God decides when things will happen.
