I feel that I need to share something that I personally was involved with early this morning. While feeling frustrated and wanting the traffic light to change I noticed 2 homeless men who looked like possible veterans. A man in front of me offered the men what I found out was his lunch for work that day. The homeless man took it with a smile and I smiled to myself feeling that there were good people in the world. What happened next I will always remember, it was devastating, as the man was walking back, the light turned green and a semi was already rolling the selfless man tried to call him back and as the homeless man turned around he tripped and fell into the back of the semi. He is no longer with us. I also feel blessed because I could be there for the man who gave his lunch to a man that had none and the truck driver whos life will never be the same. 2 of the best hugs I could ever receive. So when you see someone who may look like theyre down on their luck, maybe slow down and if anything listen to their story. Rest in Peace to someone I never got the privilege to meet.
