I feel the need to allow others to recognise a small, but highly - TopicsExpress

I feel the need to allow others to recognise a small, but highly profitable issue that RTW seems to be making on the already highly priced fruit and vegetables. If you are fortunate enough to be at a cashier that has the LCD weigh scales directed at the customer (note most are turned down or away) you may well notice that the scales have not been teared (zeroed). This evening the cashier scales at the 10 or less counter was reading 0.4lbs, my single small onion read just under a pound and at $1.39 a pound thats about 70cents extra they made. Now consider this extra markup on every set of fruit or veg you weigh, adds up really quickly. Oh and when questioned on this my cashier gave a none response and a sigh.
