I feel there has been some unfair criticism lately of Spin blades - TopicsExpress

I feel there has been some unfair criticism lately of Spin blades so I have to chime in on their behalf and attempt to put my angle on it. Yes I know Marc the owner and he is a friend, having said that I say things as they are. Many of the Worlds top pilots fly Spin blades, why, when they are in the position to fly any blade for free, do they choose Spins? The design tolerances of Spin Blades mean they have a maximum head speed of around 2,300 RPM (which it clearly states in the box and on the website) but at over speed for that split second they can reach around 3,000 but at no time have I ever seen a set of spins come apart doing this. All the top pilots (especially our French friends) are well known for it and yet their Spins always stay in one piece. As for the Spin pro pilots getting specially made blades is BS..they always use production blades when they fly in public and only the experimental blades for the testing environment and I know this as fact. I cant name any blade manufacturer that is perfect but just like with everything else in this industry its always a case of evolution not revolution and Spins ( in my opinion) have always been one of the front runners of this technology. So before this gets silly just remember there are many parts of a machine that can malfunction or fail and I agree the blades are the most obvious culprit but before you blame the blade manufacturer please examine all possibilities as you may well be pointing the finger in the wrong direction?
