I feel totally taken advantage of and violated - in addition to Uber taking the $267 that I do not have, my purse was stolen on Friday night right before the lovely Uber ride, and the crooks got away with $1000s in purchases from my credit cards and Kyles - not to mention our IDs as well. Today, Im disappointed in people. Austinites - you can help take a stand against this UBER thing. Be an informed voter: Only three council members voted to set a cap on how much Uber/Lyft could charge - Council Members Kathie Tovo, Laura Morrison, and Mike Martinez. All the others voted 4 times against setting a limit. This was less than a month ago. So now they can legally charge ANYTHING. This is shameful/sinful/unregulated capitalism at its worst. Election Day is Tuesday. Do your research and vote in local elections.
