I felt a slight shake then a big jump on my bed and i refused to open my eyes. Then i felt my eyelids being forced opened and i reluctantly gave in. Mommy wake up!. I did not move, it was raining and the sound of the rain drops signalled a no gardening day, it signalled a stay in bed late day so i stayed as still as i could. Slowly breathing so it would seem obvious i was still asleep. Minutes passed and i heard singing and movements around my room. Any parent would be concerned, not me, not today. Just a slight movement would bring my deception to a sudden end. I was not about to fail again. I was wide awake but pretending to be sleeping. Suddenly there was silence. Oh what joy filled my soul and i began to smile. In the midst of my smile i heard my daughters tiny voice haha i catch you mommy stop pretending to be sleeping!. So from 7:30a.m i have been up. She read me stories, i read her stories. We combed all her dollies hair. I asked do you want to watch disney Thais? . hoping she would go and give me 30 minutes more in bed. Forgetting my kids dont fancy television and video games the response from my nine year old was a no too early mommy...let me comb your hair Oh boy... Good morning facebook. my Saturday has began. Now colouring in her colouring book. Sleep has fled my tired eyes.. Have a great day..
