I felt it appropriate to weigh-in on the recent loss of a comedy-genus. As all of you morn this loss, ask yourself the ignored question...what if were just a regular-moe.? Would your feelings be the same, or would they differ? The funny thing with suicide is the stigma. As soon as the news breaks, the insults are cast. So many are apt to use the words coward, weak or selfish. More often than not, instant judgement is cast and the vail of ignorance is lowered. As soon as say New-York minute, you distance yourself from the survivors, and dont dare mention the departeds name. To those who judge, I call you the coward, the weak and the ignorant. You fail to uphold promises made, and insult not only the living but the dead. I suppose the path of ease is much more pleasant than to hold true to the individual you once regarded a friend. Let be clear, I do not condone the actions of those who choose this path. I do however forgive and carry their memory in my heart. I find it disturbing honoring the dead is dismissed, and their memory tarnished. What makes me qualified to call-out those who I label the true cowards...I have endured this personally on far too many occasions. Are the questions ever answered, is peace ever found and is there closure? Those are the mysteries only those who have the battle-scars to bear can answer. My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost. To those who have walked this path, your memory lives on. May God bless those who have to bear these wounds...you know who you are, and youre not alone.
