I figured I would take a quick minute and post something that may ruffle some feathers. Im tired of Bama fans WAITING for Blake Sims to make an incomplete pass or heaven forbid an interception. The guy is a LEADER. Sure he is not your 64 230 typical quarterback but if all we ever wanted was typical then we would never have options in life. I know plenty of typical quarterbacks who play for other teams that would die to be in the nations top 5 in efficiency. No, we have a quarterback who looks more like a running back and plays with a sense of confidence that personally inspires me. He just doesnt take no for an answer. Think about the preseason, we recruited a qb to obviosuly come replace AJ. He knew this but did everything the RIGHT way and won his spot. I respect that. He has put up great numbers but more importantly has placed Alabama in the position to be a national champion. He has made(pretty much alone) 7 3rd down conversions in big games that led to points for us in pivotal points of the game. He isnt scared. He is a winner. I know he is surrounded by talent but not the most accurate nor the best deep ball passer. He is doing everything the coaches ask him to do, even if its a bubble screen where he only throws the ball literally 12 to 15 yards. I am extremely impressed with the respect he has from his teammates and coaches. I bet you could ask Jalston Fowler Sr. If he is confident with Blake under center and he would sayno doubt.I have friends that are wanting to STILL see coker in there and it pisses me off. What more can he do? Ole miss was a extremely talented defense and I take nothing away from that loss other than a learning experience, especially for our offense. I am proud of the guy and as someone who personally played the game(started at 4 years old)studied the game and LOVED the game, I would be so happy to see a teammate who has swapped positions twice for the good of the team become successful and productive. He is unselfish and quick to thank Jalston and the surrounding cast for the success he has endured to this point. Listen to his interviews, hes humble. All I have to say is I have witnessed a kid fight his ass off to keep the ball in his hands for the season opener and proved doubters wrong game in game out while setting up a receiver with some heisman type numbers WITH a new offensive coordinator. Im proud of Blake and the resiliency he has shown thus far. I would bust my tail on defense all day every day knowing I have a fighter at QB. ROLL TIDE.
