I finally figured out going downwind faster than the wind. Its not even that hard. The wheels DRIVE the propeller. What would an aeroplane with a tailwind do? Will it go faster than the wind. Same with this. This gets its energy from the wind by an indirect route. The wheels drive the propeller that thrusts wind against the tailwind. So the tailwind ends up going a little slower right behind the propeller. AND the energy contained in wind is E =1/2 m v^2 So if v (velocity) is slowed from 12 to 9 the energy of the wind drops from 144 to 81. Some of this energy is lost as turbulence but some is transferred as forward thrust that makes the wheels turn a bit faster. https://youtube/watch?v=xHsXcHoJu-A
