I finally got into the ER, my fiance went with me.. Educated around 4 or so folks (a couple more that were eaves dropping) on a basic level on Chiari and about the same number on EDS. The Doctor was a little skeptical at first that I had the two conditions. Actually you could tell, that at first, they thought I was either a hypochondriac, or a pill seeker, or both. The doc asked me to show him some of my EDS stuff. So I did~ couple things with my hands and arms. After showing him that and my fiance corroborating that I did indeed have meds at home and had used them and done all the standards of heat and ice, that it was only getting worse. I then told the doc flat out that I wasnt there to get any meds, but to get answers and advice on what to do to help speed a healing process~ Well their moods and attitudes towards myself and fiance improved. Took a series or x-rays~ no visible breaks (thank god) in my lumbar or sacral region. The head of radiology will take a closer look in the am to make sure theres no sign of any types of the more easily overlooked types of breaks. At this point the diagnosis is deep contusions of the lower spine. I already had an appt on Wednesday with my PCP so follow up wont have to wait for an opening in her schedule.. They shot me up with Toradol and put me on Norco 10/325, 1 to 2 tablets every 4 hours... Combined with my other meds Im almost gorked enough to not care I hurt...
