I finally got to see Mathew McConaugheys film Interstellar. We, my wife Patricia A. Jones and I, saw it at the 6:30 showing. It was 90% filled. The story was interesting. Afterwards, my wife and I agreed that some necessary parts of a more coherent story line must have wound up on the cutting room floor. I thought the boxy robots were okay but a bit dated. Obviously, the film is 100 years in the future. Robots tend to become more and more humaniform in design. I had seen a Science Channel episode on how the director had Dr. Kip Thorne of Dr. Stephen Hawking debate fame do the science for the film. The director would tell Kip what he wanted to film and Kip and his wiz kids would program it. Visually stunning special effects which are scientifically accurate according to our 21st century science. There is a acting casting surprise which adds to the intrigue of the film. If you have not seen it, then I urge you to see it in theaters where you can view it on the big screen with great sound. You do not have to be a science-phile to be entertained.
