I finally have some good news to share. My daughter, Britni Grannan, was just accepted into the Health Sciences Medical Post Baccalaureate Program in Pennsylvania. This is a stepping stone into the Osteopathic Medical Program needed for her future career as a doctor. If she does well enough in the program, it is almost a guarantee shell get accepted into medical school. Im very proud of her and had no doubt they would accept her even though she was beginning to doubt it herself. That all being said, she will be saying good - bye to her social life for the next year. Heres a snap shot of her year: 1st semester: cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, histology, genetics, micro biology, and critical thinking. 2nd semester: anatomy, immunology, virology, pathology, pharmacology/toxicology and intro to osteopathic medicine. Im not the one taking the classes, but my head hurts thinking about it.
