I finally took the plunge and decided to switch to shaving with a safety razor. I hate shaving but I also hate feeling scratchy and I ESPECIALLY hate throwing down crazy amounts of money on Mach 3 Turbo or Fusion blades. So I invested in a nice Merkur safety razor, some honest to god shaving soap, and a nice badger shaving brush. Using a safety razor definitely makes you slow down and you MUST use an aftershave balm or lotion BUT it is the closest shave Ive ever had. Using shaving soap and a badger brush also feels better than shaving cream from a can and just smearing it on your face.
