I find all of the brouhaha over the FB messenger app quite - TopicsExpress

I find all of the brouhaha over the FB messenger app quite interesting...and entertaining. The sky is falling! The sky is falling!!! I admit when I was first asked about downloading it, I did, but I didnt get notifications, so I deleted it. I then started reading all of the negative posts and even one news source (and I use that term loosely) report that sounds like the end of times has arrived..brought on by none other than Facebook Messenger. So, of course, I investigated. Turns out if you have allowed FB to run on your phone in the first place, you have already given them permission to do just about what any other texting/messenging/chatting app you have downloaded on your phone to do. It seems the problem is they actually have been forced to tell you what they are doing by the likes of Android, etc. If I can get it to work right on my phone, I am going to download it again. So if everything I have read and regurgitated is wrong, and you see any pics of me in my birthday suit, which you will know was taken by my spy phone via Messenger and also which I am certain will go viral, you have my permission to say, I told you so!!! I have found lots of great articles that explain, but I think this breaks it down pretty well...if you really want to know what the bottom line. Otherwise, just delete Facebook altogether from your phone because they have already gotten access to everything you are giving them with Messenger. mashable/2014/08/11/stop-freaking-out-about-facebook-messenger-app-permissions/
