I find comfort and perspective in many new ways these days. I was listening to the news today about the little boy from GA whos father left him in the car in the heat to die...it sounds like it may be intentional too. My first thought goes to how awful that little guys last moments had to be.....and I truly wonder if he knew and felt unloved/abandoned in the moment, or maybe at many times in his 22 month lifetime. The comfort for me is two-fold. One, that little boy is in the happiest place now surrounded only by joy. Two, I know with no doubt that Maddy always knew she was wanted and loved. Stories like this make me feel like we did okay by her. That is a blessing in my book.
