I find it disgraceful our President. .the commander of our armed forces is too lazy put down his coffee cup to salute properly. If he didnt put it down, he should at least understand why Military protocol says members should carry items in the left hand. By doing so, their right hand is free to salute at any time. Anyway, a salute is a gesture of respect, regardless if given by a servicemember or civilian, and respect should be shown back. Since Obama has never been in the military he should appreciate and respect those Marines who clearly are.
