I find it disturbing that a Church would appoint a full time pastor for a campus-based fellowship. There are too many vulnerable and impressionable kids on Campus who could easily be abused (thats exactly what it is) by these Pastors. Women are attracted to power and those who wield power are often seduced by it. I remember a girl I was dating on Campus telling me her Pastor asked her to do some paperwork for him at 1am in his room. I put my foot down that she must not go. She didnt come to Uni to work for any Fellowship or Pastor so she needed to set her priorities right and a Pastor asking you to come work at that time of the night is not a Pastor but a blood sucking Vampire. This girl at that time was a virgin and had just joined the fellowship. In her naivety she was walking blindly into a trap. I for one think Campus Fellowships should be led by Students but should be closely monitored by a board of University Staff. For the guys in Uni, you came to school to get a degree and not for a Fellowship. If you plan your time appropriately you can have enough time for your academics, Fellowship, Sports teams and extra mural activities. You can learn French, Sign language, start a business venture. Guys you dont need to hang out in girls hostels so much. You often meet somebody on the road to preparing yourself to be somebody.
