I find it interesting that a local Bay County Veterans organization has written in their brochure a statement to support youth sports as one of their objectives , Yet after I was encouraged to write a letter requesting their support for Bay County military children who need help with funding to participate in Pop Warner Ive not received a positive word for as much as $1.00. Registration cost for a child these days is $139.00. Im so disappointed . Yet my 69 year old husband and I and a couple of volunteers stood in the sweltering heat not long ago to raise a few hundred bucks to sponsor a o fcouple of kids with lower ranking parents. My heart continues to break and my trust in those who say one thing and do another is waning. If the person I gave the letter to reads this, I wish you would be honest as to what was said in the meeting if you did remember to take the letter I sent to you. Children are our future. Show them.
