I find it ironic and distasteful that right wing groups cling to the idea of D-Day and remembrance Sunday with a sense of stoic pride. They all tell us to remember our brave lads sacrifice and to read the warning signs to not let it happen again when in fact groups like the EDL, and Britain First represent the very same fascist ideas that our ancestors fought to overthrow. The Second World War was a victory AGAINST xenophobia, prejudice and racism. By attempting to claim their sacrifice to further a right-wing ideology is idiotic and disgraceful.
